Another editorial illustration for the november issue of Elle-magazine.

This one is about an up-and-coming neighborhood in Montreal. It is a semi-industrial zone that has quickly been overtaken by artists, designers and architects who are renovating old blue-collar houses and abandoned factories and car repair shops into homes, restaurants and bars.

gerüchteküche trebnitz

For one week I had a project from the 'schlesische 27' in Trebnitz (a very small town close to Berlin) together with 30 students and three other artists. I was head of the foto & illustration group and we made stories about the mysteries of Trebnitz. Did you know that there is a tree which grows foot-leaves insted of real ones? It is because the blood of a missing child sank into that tree.

Also there is a cocodile that turns into a human every full moon, trying to get someone to swap the roles. Great week, great work, great students. thank you.

jazz and draw

Philippe Debongnie started his blog project "jazz and draw" because he loves Jazz. He finds the illustration community benefits a lot from the emulation the internet and those kind of projects brought and thinks, it is just plain fun to run. My work is featured on his site because he discovered it and liked it immediately. Phillipe thought my illustrations fitt well and inspires people.
