Four-Time Survivor Diane Heditsian is a CEO and patient advocate living in the San Francisco Bay Area. She honed her resilience through two decades of breast cancers.

backpacker magazine / DIY Conifer Infusion

This illustration by Tina for backpacker magazine, is an instruction to make a Conifer Infusion yourself.

This infusion can be used to make an elixir to soothe coughs and boost the immune system. Or use it as an ingredient in a signature foraged cocktail.

Clip of a few small branches from a conifer tree (pine, spruce, fir, etc.). Do NOT use Yew, which is toxic.
Chop the needles and twigs and fill a jar halfway with the trimmings. Cover the plant matter with your favorite alcohol, or apple cider vinegar. Add a few tablespoons of honey or maple syrup. Cover and let steep for one week, shaking daily.

Anna Goodson Illustration Agency (AGIA), an international illustration agency, representing Tina, released its Christmas Coasters collection celebrating love and the power of art.

viertausendhertz

Tina had a great new assignment from viertausendhertz, the biggest and best german podcast.
They wanted her to create an abstract, collage like illustration based on their logo (bottom right), for i-tunes, their website and other promotional material.

Lehigh University

Tina was commissioned to make illustrations for a spread in Lehigh University's business magazine.
It features their 1-MBA program and is about students and their summer internship experiences at companies like Tesla, Genetec and QVC (home shopping network).

the actuary

I created this illustration for a feature in The Actuary magazine, an insurance industry publication for people who calculate risk.

The article, on chemical and biological terrorism and its role in property contamination, addresses insurance liability in the instance of an attack.

An illustration by a fascinating story about abortion doulas in Arizona. Doulas, a non medicalized support through childbirth, provide help to women, also if they are seeking abortion.

Growing pleasures / Bianca magazine

Tina made two gardening illustrations for Tridels 'Bianca magazine'.

Tridel is offering suites with incredibly large terraces, which will be perfect for entertaining, 

relaxing, gardening or just enjoying the views.
Monica Julian, artdirector of 52 Pick-up says:

Caribbean Sea / Thomas Cook Travel magazine

Thomas Cook travel magazine asked Tina Zellmer to create a map illustration about their caribbean cruise story, including the coastline of Orlando, and the islands of Haiti, Jamaica and Cozumel (Mexico) – which are the destinations which they visited and stopped off at.

Pharmacy Practice

I made the new cover and a little spot illustration for Pharmacy Practice.
One of the features of the magazine is on the Pharmacist’s role for Zika prevention and awareness. The spot illustration is on the topic of diabetes.

App Autism

“For nearly a decade, academics and others have said that technology could revolutionize the communication abilities of people on the autism spectrum. That hasn’t happened yet. Part of the reason is that the field is pretty niche. A number of well regarded app producers are small operations started by people who developed something to help their own loved ones. These ground breakers inadvertently stunt innovation because their goal is to develop ways of automating pre-existing, tried and true (but cumbersome) tasks, not create novel approaches. Another factor is that academics can’t keep up with tech. Hundreds of apps flood the market faster than you can assemble a long-range study to evaluate efficacy. So no app has been deemed a gold standard.
But at least one piece of tech is threatening to break the mold. On the horizon, an app called :prose and its associated gear may be able to link a user’s thoughts to a speaking aid. This may make it possible for someone with even the most severe physical limitations to develop an amount of autonomy over their own language.” (Soni Sangha)
